Our 30-hour Diamond Analysis and Certification Course offers intensive, specialized training for those who want to develop an in-depth knowledge of diamonds, from physical properties to practical evaluation techniques. Course Program
• Genesis and Properties of Diamond : Exploring the origin and unique chemical and physical properties of diamond.
• Diamond Characteristics : Study of the internal and external characteristics and their classification, including types of inclusions and other structural features.
• Diamond Coloration : Understanding the causes of coloration and the different types of color; color classification and an in-depth look at fancy colored diamonds.
• Diamond Cut : Examination of the main types of cut available on the market, with a focus on the quality and technique of each type.
• Weight and Proportions : Calculation methods for estimating weight and study of cutting proportions; methodologies for measuring proportions.
• Fluorescence and Treatments : Fluorescence analysis, color treatments and internal characteristics; techniques for the recognition of treatments.
• Analysis Tools and Techniques : Use of the 10X lens, caliper, caliper and microscope for an accurate and detailed analysis of the diamond.
Practical Exercises and Tools
Students will have extensive hands-on training in diamond analysis and will use professional tools such as a caliper, 10X loupe and microscope for detailed evaluation. Training includes the complete analysis of five diamonds, with specific attention to weight, color, clarity, proportions, symmetry and polish.
Exam and Certification
At the end of the course, students will have to pass a written test and a practical test that includes the analysis of five stones and the determination of the color of ten other stones. Upon passing the exam, a certification diploma will be issued attesting the acquired competence in the analysis and classification of diamonds.
